How we structured a local hiring operation for a Fortune 500 company
In just 3–4 weeks, Remoti presented approximately 40 interview-ready profiles to a Fortune 500 company establishing a local Talent Acquisition operation in Mexico City.
The company was localising part of its Talent Acquisition function in Mexico as part of a confidential organisational change. The project required professionals based in Mexico City with proven experience in recruitment processes in the United States or Canada.
The initial project scope covered approximately 40 roles across multiple organisational levels, from supervisory positions to senior leadership. From the shortlist Remoti provided, the client ultimately completed 30 hires to establish the core operation.
So how did we get from a confidential requirement to a team of 30 people?
It started with finding the right experience in the Mexico City market.
A New Talent Acquisition Hub in Mexico City
In September 2025, a Fortune 500 company began a confidential organisational change involving part of its Talent Acquisition function from Chicago to Mexico City.
The objective was to establish a local hiring structure capable of supporting US-facing recruitment operations from Mexico, while maintaining execution quality and confidentiality.
The project covered approximately 40 roles across multiple organisational levels, from supervisory positions to senior leadership. The profiles required a very specific background: candidates had to be based in Mexico City and have proven experience with recruitment processes in the United States or Canada. Experience working with international stakeholders alone was not enough.
The project also could not be managed through the client’s internal Talent Acquisition structure because of the sensitive organisational changes taking place. Existing provider constraints further narrowed the available talent routes.
With the requirement defined, the next question was where to find people with the right experience in the Mexico City market.
Mapping the Mexico City Market
Remoti joined the project through its Talent Scout model.
The first step was to understand the local market around the roles, seniority levels, and specific recruitment experience the client required. This meant looking for professionals who could demonstrate direct experience with US or Canadian recruitment processes, rather than relying only on broader international exposure.
Multiple Remoti teams began working on the search simultaneously, building a broad view of the available talent in Mexico City.
That initial market mapping identified approximately 500 potential candidates who matched the brief.
But identifying candidates was only the beginning. The important question was which of those profiles could genuinely meet the requirements and progress into the client’s own recruitment process.

Turning 500 Candidates Into a Qualified Shortlist
Around 110 candidates were invited to the first assessment stage, with more than 80 candidates attending.
Remoti then brought the assessment process into Mexico City. Core team members conducted in-person assessments, applying the same evaluation logic used in Remoti’s own internal hiring. This allowed the team to assess candidates against the specific requirements of the roles and the experience the client needed, before presenting them to the client.
From that process, approximately 40 interview-ready profiles were presented within a 3–4 week window.
For stakeholders in Mexico and Chicago, this meant they could move directly into their own interview and decision-making process with a qualified group of professionals already identified and assessed.
The project had moved from a broad market search to a focused pipeline ready for the client’s final stages.
The Result: 30 New Hires
The client continued through its own interview process to establish the local structure.
From the shortlist Remoti provided, the client completed 30 hires to establish the core of the Talent Acquisition team in Mexico City.
The progression tells the story:

The result was an active Talent Acquisition team in Mexico City, supported by a qualified local pipeline and a recruitment process that moved from market mapping to client interviews within weeks.
What Made the Project Valuable
The numbers show the outcome, but the operational relevance comes from the specificity of the requirement.
The client was establishing a local recruitment operation that needed specialised US/Canada recruitment experience, appropriate seniority levels, and a strong understanding of the Mexico City talent market.
Remoti brought those requirements together through market mapping, candidate assessment, and local execution. The engagement gave the client a structured view of the available talent, validated candidates across different organisational levels, and provided a qualified group ready to progress into the client’s process.
This was particularly relevant given the confidential organisational changes involved. Using an external Talent Scout process gave the client a clear starting point for building the local team, without having to establish the market and assessment process internally first.
Building the Mexico City Team
The project began with a specific organisational requirement: establish a local Talent Acquisition operation in Mexico City to support US-facing recruitment from Mexico.
It moved through approximately 500 potential candidates, 110 assessment invitations, 80+ attendees, and 40 interview-ready profiles, before reaching the final result of 30 completed hires.
For Remoti, the work centred on understanding the operation, identifying professionals with the right recruitment background, conducting rigorous in-person assessments, and giving the client a qualified group to move forward with.
That is the role of Talent Scout when a company needs to build a local team around a specific business requirement and proven experience.
